The Parlotones are a multiplatinum-selling rock band, based in Los Angeles, California (as of September 2012). They are known for experimenting with sounds and various structures in their songs, incorporating the typical doo-wop or traditional folk structures. They have just released their latest animated music video that we here at Toon53 Productions have created.

This slapstick music video takes place in a Sci-fi world of magic and mystery where society is portrayed as these weird and wonderful creatures. While the city celebrates The Parlotones, they are suddenly hit with an evil soul sucking ray that is used to power an army of evil robots. In regular Parlotones fashion they are there to save the day and help their fans.

The Cavalier – “Lonely King of Hearts” (2009)

The Cavalier – “Lonely King of Hearts”

This music video takes our viewers on a ride through the world that is “The Cavalier”.  Each band member is living in their own time and place which also happens to be the very existence of the other band members micro worlds.  The band members in the video can’t exist without each other just like in the really world “The Cavalier” wouldn’t exist if the band members weren’t in each others worlds at the same time.

The Cavalier are the first band in SA to have a music video created in the Emmy Award winning program ToonBoom by toon53productions cc an Advertising and Animation production company in South Africa with award winning work behind it’s name.
The video has aired on channels like MTValt, DSTV, MNET, K-TV, MK and more.

In the first few weeks of play the video went from 7th place on MK’s top 10 charts to 1st, keeping them there for three weeks in a row! People love this video 🙂 The video also made it into the top 5 animated music videos at MK’s Music Awards.

Boys & Girls Net#workBBDO

.

One day back in 2007 when I was working at TheDeliArtistsUnited in the NetworkBBDO building in HydePark I was grabbed out of my office and told to go upstairs where it was loud noisy and just plane crazy!!  Some of the guys had decided to shoot a music video and all the staff on the creative side of the building were going to be apart of it.  Here’s what one of them had to say about the video.

“We saw lip-dub flagpole sitter and got pretty motivated to do our own office video and serve the kids from Connected Ventures. We want to put out a cross continent challenge (complete with in your face Ebonics Ahhhhh yeah!) and have a video off.”

Here’s the video.  The only thing I had to do with it is just stand there and show the sign they gave me when the camera girl/guy/person came past.  The friends I had back in the NetworkBBDO days were amazing!! I loved every minute of it!

I mean for sh%# sake’s this is how a day in the office was back then . . .

LOVE IT!
